The Fire of the One - Jon Eden Khan

When the fire of the One starts to flame,
To burn away all that is of time and space,
It's like being eaten from the inside,
By a monster that you know is God,
And your own deepest Self.

You know it is going to consume you,
Down to the last bone, nerve and cell,
That it's going to take it all,
And break every story you've created,
About what is and isn't sacred.

And you know that you're going to give it everything,
Because even though it will take you to your knees,
And humble you beyond anything you have ever known,
In the deepest core of your soul,
You want only this.

To be pinned down and ravished,
By this ruthless purity to your end,
Because you know that there is nothing more real,
And that on the other side of that death,
Is a Life you would never know otherwise.
