Dark Grace - Jon Eden Khan
Just as the initiate who penetrates the mysteries of dark spirit comes to realise the presence of the Great Father that sees through that dark, so also do initiates who surrender into the mysteries of dark matter come to feel the presence of the Great Mother who senses through that dark.
Dark matter is the source and root of all dense and subtle matter, and the Great Mother transmits through that darkness the eternal nourishment, abundance, sacred intelligence, unconditional blessing, and fertile creativity that lives through all matter.
She is the dark grace that is already holding us all, even when we have no idea how to let go into being held.
She is the Black Madonna – the immaculate virgin nature of all matter, which has always been eternally pure.
To sense her, we must first learn to stand as a soul and from there surrender to the body.
We must accept the failure of all attempts to dominate, control, or force the body into some spiritual vision held in our consciousness.
We must realise the truth that the body – just like the spirit – is stronger than the soul, and end the war.
We must get on our knees before our body, and commit ourselves to partnership with it rather than attempting to drive or control it.
We must heal our relationship with the body in a way that fully honours its consciousness, sentiency, and power, and makes love the law of our relationship with it.
When that love has landed in our relationship with the body, then as souls we can learn to surrender through the body into the deeper mysteries of matter.
First, that might allow us to sense the subtle energetic fields of the body, and then the radiant fields that are deeper still.
Deeper than these is the dark matter halo that is the root-source of all our bodies, dense and subtle.
Here we start to open to non-dual matter - that all matter is one, and She lives through it all.
The capacity to drop and fall all the way through these layers is intimately related to our ability to let ourselves be held.
To fall into the embrace of the Great Mother.
Truly, it is as simple as that.
The path into dark matter, just like the path into dark spirit, is radically simple.
Dark spirit asks our soul to put everything on the altar, surrender, and have having the illusion of a separate self at the centre of our experience penetrated by the life force of spirit that vibrates at the core of everything.
Dark matter asks our soul to let go and surrender to being held and embraced by dark grace so that the virgin glory of all matter is revealed.
So simple, and yet as many will know, deeply confrontational to the layers of armour we all wear that stem from our terror.
Terror born of a story that we are isolated and alone in a hostile world and must draw on the adrenaline fuelled by our fear to survive.
Learning the soft discipline of letting ourselves drop into being held by dark matter allows us to learn to sense the Great Mother.
In that space of dark matter, she can be felt to rise as a current of pure nourishing Life force, abundance, fertile creativity, sacred intelligence, and unconditional blessing.
This is where we start to connect to the mysteries of deep regeneration, deep regulation, and deep somatic homecoming.
The life that transmits from the Great Mother through dark matter into our physical body can regenerate the coherence, vitality, and health of injured matter – whether that is in the individual body or in nature.
The life that transmits from the Great Mother through dark matter into our physical body drops the nervous system into deep, landed, regulation.
The life that transmits from the Great Mother through dark matter into our physical body allows the soul to experience the true mystery of somatic home.
In this time when so many of our bodies are struggling, injured, disregulated, and close to burn out, and when the natural world is reeling, exploited, and shuddering from the abuse humanity inflicts upon it, the mysteries of dark matter and the Great Mother are crucial.
And all they ask is that we repair our relationship with our bodies and learn to let go into truly being held.
